The first ever Android Smartphone from Nokia – Nokia X runs
on a heavily customized version of Android. But whatever these facts are, it
seems to be a good looking and different UI with the newest Nokia X Launcher.
Have you thought about getting that launcher on your Android devices like
Samsung, Sony or any other? Then here is it. Yes, the Nokia x launcher..
The launcher on the Nokia X looks very similar to the Tiles
in the UI of Windows Phone devices. The xda member Opsemnik has ported the
Nokia X launcher from its system Dump to work on any device. Anyway look below
to know the exact procedure to Install Nokia X Launcher on Any Android Device.
Requirements:
- Your
device should have the root access.
- A
custom Recovery either CWM or TWRP must be installed on your device.
Download:
- Nokia X Launcher [ NokiaLauncher0.6.zip
| 620.83 KB ]
Steps to Install Nokia X Launcher on Any Android Device:
- First
of all you have to download the Nokia X Launcher and transfer it to your
Android device and remember the location to which you have copied it.
- Now
boot your device into Recovery Mode. Since your device is already rooted,
the easiest way to boot into recovery mode is by using the Quickboot App.
- The
next step is to create a Nandroid backup. This is an optional step
but it is highly recommended to take a backup so that you can restore your
device if anything goes wrong. To take a Nandroid backup go to Backup
and Restore >>Backup.
- Now
you have to install the Nokia X Launcher.zip file. To do this, select Install
zip >>Choose zip from sd card (or the location where you have
copied the launcher zip file) and select the NokiaLauncher0.6.zip
file.
- Go
back to the recovery main menu and reboot your device.
- Once
your device is rebooted, press the Home button and select Launcher from
the list of launcher that appears.
Congrats..Your Android smartphone is now fully equipped to
run the Nokia X Launcher. Now enjoy a different and heavily customized UI on
your device.
