If you sign-in with your any gmail account on your device
then by default it sync all your device data to it like “App Data, Calender,
Contacts, Google Currents, Photos, Google+ Auto Backup, etc.”, which isn’t
necessary. And if you have multiple accounts then you’re gone, battery will
drain much more faster.
It’s advisable to sync only that data which you need to,
especially contacts and gmail. To change the sync options, navigate to Settings > Accounts – Google > your
existing email address > uncheck the options which you want to disable.

follow one rule,

Smartphone once to release all the resources back to the Android
OS; Whereas, don’t plug your device for charging until it shows battery
low message.”
If you follow this rule, then your battery life will be
longer for sure! Try it out and see the difference.
