Samsung Mobiles have decided to launch their new flagship
product, Samsung Galaxy S5 on the 11th of April, 2014 in India. With a price
tag of 53,000 (approximately), the S5 promises to be one the best phones
available in the India market.
To the dislike of many users, the Galaxy S5 will come with a
matte finished plastic back cover but the metal frames attached on the side
should take care of its sophistication. In terms of resolution, its 5.1-inch
1080p AMOLED display is one of the finest in its class which will also offer
water and dust resistance.
The Indian variant of S5 is powered by an Octa core Exynos
processor out of which, four A15 cores will run at 1.9 GHz while the other four
A7 cores will run at a lower speed of 1.3 GHz. The octa core processor coupled
with 2 GB of random access memory will ensure smooth functioning of
applications and also makes multitasking easy.
The 16 Megapixel rear camera is
capable of capturing 4K videos while the 2.1 Megapixel front camera is designed
to guarantee you a perfect selfie. The Galaxy S5 runs on the most updated
version of the OS, KitKat (Android 4.4.2). The Indian variant of S5 is not 4G
enabled which might prove to be a major drawback in the near future, but we are
still uncertain about the availability of 4G in India so it's not that much of
a risk.
