HTC launched the revived version of HTC Butterfly smartphone
last year in June as HTC Butterfly S. The smartphone was launched with Android
4.2.2 Jelly Bean on-board, and was updated to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in
December 2013. Now after three months, the HTC Butterfly S is in the process of
getting itself updated to the latest version of Google's mobile operating
system – Android 4.4 KitKat.
The update brings Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Project Svelte
optimizations, updated Hangouts with SMS/MMS support and updated Google Now.
The update also brings KitKat features like wireless printing, immersive mode,
colour emoji support, stronger security, full-screen mode and more.
Apart form KitKat features, the update brings Cloud Print
service, security enhancements, new Bluetooth profiles to support more media
interactions and removed support for Adobe's Flash Player in the browser.
